YEAR by YEAR
2001...
CLUBLIFE
- As in all previous years (18 already!) we have been very active. WE
had an average of 10 activities per months.
-
We invested quite some time in looking for youngsters to join the club,
but unfortunately the results were nearly nil.
BELGIUM
- We worked a lot in our various digs ( The "laminoir"; Pressoir;
Grotte "X", Waerimont, Chawresse) and that yielded a couple of hundreds
of meters of “new land”. Maybe not those giant new caves some of us were
dreaming off, but not bad neither.
-
In between we did a lot of “classic” trips in Belgium, we continued our
never-ending project “resurveying the Chawresse” and we trained several
of our members to become experienced surveyors.
FOREIGN CAVES
- 4-days in the C?e d’Or (Frankce). Beautiful weather and nice
caves: Creux-Perc? Gouffre du Soucy and of course the splendid
Combe-aux-Pr?res
-
Fantastic 10-day stay in the French Ard?he, where we visited
Orgnac 2 en 3 (so beautiful it cannot be described in words). A
trip into the remote parts of St-Marcel d’Arch?he (Réseau 4)
left us speechless. And what to say about Aven de Noel which is
also a jewell.
-
In the Pyrenees, in the Anialarra
System we made a nice discovery in the upstream parts: Réseau des
Affam?.
- Finally some members participated in other expeditions such as Soqotra
(Jos) or Gouffre Berger (Rudi).
