For
the "European year of the Environment" in 1987, Serdu made a
series of cartoons illustrating the "Code of Honour" of
cavers. They were then published in a walloon caving magazine and I
never say them appear again.
I contacted Serdu, who, without hesitating, agreed that I would
reproduce these cartoons here on my website. Many thanks, Serdu!
These cartoons are still applicable, en are, of course, very
to-the-point and ... just funny!
Who is Serdu?
Serge
Duhayon was born in 1940 in the province of Hainaut, with a pencil
in his hand. Professional artist and illustrator (in several newspapers),
and a teacher for 40 years... in drawing techniques. In his career, he
made the incredible number of 75000 drawings... an average of three for
each day of his life!
We must admire his drawing style and -speed, as well as his
inspiration and humoristic view of Sociétéety.
